Railway Accident - Report on the Collision that occurred on 30th August 1973 at Shields Junction in the Scottish Region British Railways

Fatal head-on collision between a Ayr to Glasgow DMU and a Weymss Bay to Glasgow EMU. The leading coach of the EMU rode-up over the rear coach of the DMU for more than a coach length, leading to a fire.
