Railway Accident - Report on the Collision that occurred on 7th December 1984 at Eccles in the London Midland Region of British Railways
Rear end collision of a Liverpool to Scarborough express passenger, hauled by Peak 45147 with an oil tank train. The driver and two passengers were killed and the locomotive subsequently withdrawn.

Railway Accident - Report on the Derailments that occurred on 22nd September 1983 at Pitlochry in the Scottish Region of British Railways and on 30th November 1984 at Pershore in the Western Region of British Railways
Derailments of Class 47 47470 on Inverness to Glasgow passenger and 47500 'Great Western ' on a Hereford to London passenger. Both accidents were caused by the fracture of fishplates at bulkhead joints. Report with photographs and drawings.

Railway Accident - Report on the Collision that occurred on 24th March 1987 at Frome in the Western Region British Railways
Head-on collision due to signal past at danger involving a Yeovil to Cardfiff passenger hauled by 33032 and a Westbury to Whatley freight hauled by 47202. Both locomotives were damaged beyond repair.

Railway Accident - Report on the Collision that occurred on 9th March 1986 at Chinley in the London Midland Region of British Railways
Collision of Sheffield to Manchester Piccadilly passenger train, hauled by Class 31 31436 with freight train hauled by Class 45 45014 and Class 47 47334. The Class 31 was withdrawn in October 1986 as a result of the damage sustained.

Railway Accident - Report on the Collision and Consequent Derailment that occurred on 12th June 1976 between Laurencekirk and Carmont in the Scottish Region British Railways
Multiple collision of light locomotive 40053 with a flat wagon train hauled by 40066 causing a track panel onto the line and in the path of a King's Cross to Aberdeen express hauled by 47418. 40053 was subsequently withdrawn.

Railway Accident - Report on the Collision that occurred on 30th July 1982 near Lindsey Oil Terminal in the Eastern Region of British Railways
Head-on collision of two freight trains, the first hauled by Class 56 56004 and the second by two Class 31's 31314 and 31192. The locomotives were extensively damaged with the two Class 31s being withdrawn.

Fatal head-on collision between a Ayr to Glasgow DMU and a Weymss Bay to Glasgow EMU. The leading coach of the EMU rode-up over the rear coach of the DMU for more than a coach length, leading to a fire.

Railway Accident - Report on the Collision that occurred on 22nd October 1979 at Invergowerie in the Scottish Region British Railways
Collision of Glasgow to Dundee train hauled by 25083 with Glasgow to Aberdeen hauled by 47208, leading to the deaths of the driver and assistant of the later, together with three passengers. 47208 was extensively damaged and subsequently scrapped.
