Interest in railways is often focused on a particular region or local area and we allocate books and paperwork relevant to a particular geographical location by government regions.

Outside of the London category, the following counties are included in the English regions:

South-East - Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire, Kent, Surrey, Oxfordshire, East Sussex, West Sussex;

South-West - Somerset, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Dorset, Devon, Cornwall;

East of England - Essex, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, Suffolk;

East Midlands - Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire;

West Midlands - Birmingham, Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire;

North West - Cheshire, Manchester, Lancashire, Merseyside, Cumbria;

Yorkshire & the Humber - South Yorkshire, West Yorkshire, North Yorkshire,
East Riding of Yorkshire, Lincolnshire;

North East - Northumberland, Tyne and Wear, County Durham.

Categories also cover Scotland, Wales and Ireland as well as islands and specific popular lines.
