Railway Accident - Report on the Collision that occurred on 26th October 1975 at Lunan Bay, between Montrose and Arbroath in the Scottish Region British Railways
Collision of light locomotive 40111 with an Aberdeen to King's Cross passenger hauled by 47418. The Class 40 embedded itself underneath the body of the rear coach. Despite major damage and the start of Class 40 withdrawals, 40111 was repaired.
